OWNER AND COACH
Luke is a long time Hood River local. He spent his youth outside developing an passion for environmentalism and the benefits of outdoor exercise. He began coaching with School of Send in High School, eventually taking over operations in Winter of 2024. Starting out as a student under SOS founder Gary Paasch, he has continued to develop his love for biking and local community.
Instructor Freeride and Race Team
Jake has been coaching with School of Send since high school. He’s a jack of all trades of mountain biking, able to effortlessly tackling and freeride, tech, or race obstacle thrown his way. Currently, a student of architecture as Portland State University, he continues to shred and coach during his time away from school.
INSTRUCTOR
In 2020, Nic moved to the Hood River area from Durango, CO where he coached mountain biking and competitive Big Mountain Freeride skiing. Since then, he has been stoked to bring his love for riding bikes to School of Send. Nic's focus as a coach involves creating a safe, fun, all-inclusive atmosphere for learning and progression that helps turn kids of all ages into passionate, versatile cyclists.
INSTRUCTOR
Ryan grew up riding Post Canyon, born and raised in the Hood River Valley. This will be his fifth summer coaching for School of Send. During the winter months, Ryan works as a professional ski instructor at Stevens Pass WA, taking on many roles including being the Stevens Pass Training Manager, SPAC Freeride Team Coach, and PSIA NW Technical Team member. In total Ryan has been instructing/coaching high level skiing for the past 12 years and incorporates all of those skills to his mountain bike coaching. He's stoked for the bike season and can't wait to ride with everyone
